Comparative analysis of haematological, biochemical and nutritional parameters of Dezhou donkey with healthy and weak foals (<i>Equus asinus</i>)

The study was conducted to compare the haematological, biochemical and nutritional parameters between healthy foals (HF) weak (WF, malformation, lameness drooping ears), corresponding female donkeys provide a reference for assessment of status. A total 34 with HF (DHF) WF (DWF) were selected. Compared HF, had higher leukocyte, neutrophil, platelets (PLT) percentage their showed similar tendency; lower birth weight body measurements. concentrations serum urea, protein, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine (ALT), cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, β-hydroxybutyric acid (BHBA) non-esterified fatty (NEFA) increased in compared whereas glucose (GLU) decreased. AST, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), BHBA, NEFA, calcium phosphorus DWF DHF, albumin (ALB), GLU, kalium, chromium, iron, manganese, lead zinc hair minerals same tendency as well, but concentration opposite.
